Quotes

The power under the constitution will always be in the people. It is intrusted for certain defined purposes, and for a certain limited period, to representatives of their own choosing; and, whenever it is executed contrary to their interest, or not agreeable to their wishes, their servants can and undoubtedly will be recalled. GEORGE WASHINGTON, letter to Bushrod Washington, Nov. 10, 1787

A Government of the People

“When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.” – Thomas Jefferson

Our government is now controlled by anti-American socialists! This government has created the current political, economic and social disaster with the assistance of corrupt political parties and our irresponsible media.
Within a few months, the socialists in our government plan to turn America into a socialist state. Their primary tool of insurrection is the lie. The plan is simple: utilize the media for propaganda, undermine the financial structure (sub-prime mortgage), plunder the national treasury (massive bailouts and stimulus plans), nationalize industries (finance, automobiles, health care), destroy any ability of the private sector to create jobs through taxation and regulation, and provide welfare checks to millions of illegal aliens. In essence, create as many wards of the state as possible. The government is then in total control and your individual freedom is lost.
My plan of action to return our republic to a government of the people.
Read “The War Against Socialism” by Thom Lord Call 610-691-4261 to order.
Replace all corrupt politicians and judges that violate the Constitution with conservative leaders
Educate students and the public on the proper role of government in a free enterprise Constitutional Republic
Repeal all unconstitutional laws
Reduce the size of government to limited Constitutional authority
Amend the Constitution to Term Limit politicians and judges

Congress members getting paid there or not

When these Senators and House members are traveling all over the world and missing the meetings that are going on in Washington why should they get paid??

The law says they should not get paid if they do not attend the sessions. The person who is in charge of this says it's not right that they do not get paid. When I don't show up for work I don't get paid.

I think this needs to be checked out to see if this is true

First Meeting 2008/08/19

I attended the first meeting last night at Days Inn in Scottsbluff, NE and found it to be very interesting. The attendance was very good; the people's comments diverse and honest. I believe most in attendance feel that their voices/concerns are not addressed by our state and national elected officials. Many felt the representation of/by/for "we the people" by our representatives is sorely lacking.

My sense is most in attendance are willing to get involved in order to be recognized as legitmate freedom loving members that want to make a difference for the good of all U.S. Citizens. I am looking forward to this group, and many more, standing up and being heard accross America and especially by our elected officials in Washington, D.C. Hopefully as loud and fruitful as the first colonial "shot heard around the world."

Welcome to the Pitchfork and Torch Society

PITCHFORK AND TORCH SOCIETY™
Who Are We: We are the American people. We are freedom loving Republicans, Democrats and Independents. We are Black, White, Hispanic, and all people of all peaceful faiths and creeds. We believe in law and order. We believe in the U.S. Constitution and above all, we all believe in freedom.
Mission Statement: Having watched our freedoms being eroded away one step at a time over the last 70 years, we have come to the conclusion that if we the people don’t act, and act now, it will be too late and we will never be able to regain the freedoms we have lost, or become the great free society we once were. We will take our freedoms back the same way we lost them, one step at a time.
We will do this by the following actions:
1. We will let Washington know who we are and how many we are and that we have had enough. We will bombard Washington with letters, emails and phone calls letting them know what we expect of them. Most of all we will peacefully rally in Washington with our PITCHFORKS AND TORCHES* to let them know what we expect of them and that we are willing to do something about it. We won’t just rally and go away we will rally and rally time after time to let them know we mean business and we won’t go away.

Organization
Our goal is to have a national office, [not in Washington D.C.] and state chapters in every state, as well as sub-chapters under the state chapters. Anyone interested in organizing a state or local chapter or supporting our cause contact us at: info@pitchforkandtorch.com
If you believe in our mission statement all are welcomed. We are in the process of trade marking our name, logos, etc.
We plan to seek Non-Profit status as a 501C3 Educational Organization.
Questions or Comments please contact us at: info@pitchforkandtorch.com
*These pitchforks and torches will be safe and symbolic such as buttons, pins, hats, t-shirts. Etc.
